Another great episode, even though it slightly scared the shit out of me.

What I learned:

- (Most) Brokers don't give a fuck about me. (Does my father give his Wachovia guy to much free reign with his money? Need to talk to him?)

-Cramer is a punk bitch ad man suit. (lol)

What I've worked on:

- "Paid myself first," for the first time. Up until yesterday I've been a check to check guy. Put away my first $50 in my dusty savings account. Feels weird...

-Speculating vs Investing - I have a bit of the gambling bug and while everyone around me (who dont know shit about dick when it comes to investing...much like myself) have been screaming about buying up GM stock,

i'm taking your ad**** and reading up on it more. (Good thing? or should i be buying it up? Got any "ideas"...i know the "A" word is touchy, right?)

Side note: Been checking out your other stuff wsyk and the blog. Keep this shit goin! Also it was crazy to hear that you and the Cake guys are in San Fran too. I live in hunters point and just wanted to thank you guy on behalf of all the hood kids for the free education LOL

The world is a scary place. But that doesn't mean you can't be successful. It's good to know what you're up against rather just that diving in blindly.

I should say not all financial planners and brokers are bad. However you need to be aware of how yours is being incentivzed: are they making money when you make money? Or are they making money when they sell you something?

Congratulations on starting to pay yourself first, that rocks man! and you should really be proud of yourself. The key now however is to make this a habit.

Understanding the difference between is investing and speculating is sooo big. If you want to gamble in the stock market set aside an extremely small portion of your savings to roll the dice with. Never roll the dice with the majority of your savings, even if some speculative idea sounds amazing. Usually when something sounds to go to be true, it is. As for GM stay away... far far away.

I'm super happy your finding all my different shows helpful and useful. The whole ideas for these was to educate in new and unconventional way and I think we're doing just that.
